Along with the production of qualified graduates, the department also deals with the innovation of technology related to the sustainable management of crop diseases by conducting cutting-edge research. The qualified researchers are conducting research on the protection of crop plants through chemical, cultural, biological, and molecular approaches. However, the ultimate goal of the department is to contribute to the country’s development by developing and disseminating qualified graduates and technology to the end users (farmers).
