I am honored to address you as the chairman of the Department of Architecture at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur. Our department has a long tradition of promoting innovation, creativity, and academic success.
The Department of Architecture at HSTU was established in 2014 in the northern district of Dinajpur of Bangladesh with the vision of creating a center of excellence in architectural education and research. Currently, we are offering a Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) degree. Over the years, we've evolved from a small group of enthusiastic educators and students to a thriving community dedicated to developing architecture.
Our department has always been at the cutting edge of architectural education, providing a program that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical practice. We have regularly updated our courses to reflect the most recent architectural trends and technologies, ensuring that our graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the field.
Our faculty members are well-known for their knowledge and dedication to research. They have worked on various innovative projects that address key topics like sustainable design, urban design and planning, architectural conservation, housing, informal settlement, landscape, and incorporating digital technologies in architecture. Their work has had a tremendous impact on the built environment as well as the advancement of knowledge.
We are also proud of our alumni, who have achieved remarkable success in a variety of professions, including architecture. Their successes demonstrate the level of education and training they received at HSTU.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to our mission of offering exceptional architecture education, doing creative research, and interacting with the community. We will continue to host a range of events, workshops, and lectures that promote learning, collaboration, and professional development.
I feel proud to be a part of this department. Together, we can build a brighter future for our department and the broader architectural community.
