Department of Aquaculture is one of the four departments of the Faculty of Fisheries in Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University. This department has started its journey through the establishment of Faculty of Fisheries in 2005. The Department of Aquaculture offers different courses (48.5 credits) at undergraduate (B. Sc. Fisheries (Hons.) and 32 credits at postgraduate program (MS in Aquaculture). The department is endowed with experienced teachers, work diligently to maintain the high academic standard of the University. All members of staff are always ready and ever willing to assist students in their endeavors to ensure their success. Along with teaching activities, faculties of this department also engaged with research and other extracurricular activities. The aim of this department is to produce competent fisheries graduates and also develop a center of excellence for education and research in the field of aquaculture. As chairman of Department, I believe this department is committed to producing competent graduate fisheries for improving Bangladesh's fisheries sector.
